TRAWLER 

Hello, I’m Jill, the founder of Trawler Studio where I make British Coastal & American style Old-West inspired hats and one of a kind clothing and accessories.  The hats are hand-blocked on traditional wooden hat blocks and made, by me, in my studio by the sea here in Dorset, England.​​

Trawler has always been a little spark waiting for me to ignite, it took a minute but all good things take time. It truly is a label shaped, like me, by the sea. Where folklore meets folk art, where harbour walls hold quiet tales, and where every garment carries a piece of the West coast with it too. My collections are simple to wear and style, as easy as an off-shore wind! ​

 

​I like to source vintage textiles for my one off designs which are often hand-finished and sometimes  embroidered with my illustrations. A labour of love! But, they tell great stories and look amazing! 

 

I also have a core line of organic cotton t shirts which make perfect foundation garments in which to build looks. Throw them on with some your favourite frock, vintage jeans, boots and bandana.

My designs are for people who find joy in sea spray and the soft grit of coastal life. They wear salt like perfume and enjoy the practical nature of a beautifully made hat.​
